The city often blends into its suburbs at no one definable point. Yet the character and the appearance of those towns on the edge of a city is seemingly distinct. In a way the city is in constant dialogue with the suburbs, each helping to define the other. I have come to experience my area, Erdington, in many ways. Sometimes I see it like this.
